Don’t lie, I know some of you have to be out there. All this talk about OPM reminded me of another gateway anime, Cowboy Bebop. Fantastic show with a extremely catchy jazz-based theme song. It is awesome.

I know, right! The action, the comedy, how each episode was like a miniature movie; it's amazing. Plus, the main characters were intriguing in their own right.

I still need to watch this completely from start to finish. I’ve seen the majority of the episodes, but there’s still a couple I’ve missed.

I am one. The Cowboy Bebop movie was actually the first anime that watched with a computer.

Bought the box set on bluray last year, it’s a great show, and the soundtrack is amazing. Samurai Champloo and Kids on the Slope are 2 more really good ones from Watanabe sensei.

The music helps make the show. The Seatbelts, the band that plays all the music, had the most unassuming and yet epic name ever!

I’ve watched all of Trigun, large portions of FMA original run and Brotherhood, all of Gurren Lagann, FLCL, and snatches of some other things like DeathNote. I’m not an anime neophyte, but my “to watch” list is still far, far, longer than my “have watched” list.

Code Geass is an excellent one too. My wife is not a anime fan, but that series really interested her. Another she liked was Sword Art Online.

I would never consider myself a otaku, I just enjoy a great or interesting story.

Cowboy Bebop is one of the only anime shows I can actually watch. The stories are that good and more reality based than your typical anime. I like how they are largely stand alone as well. I don't have to watch every episode to know what's going on.

One of my all time favourites of ANY show. The soundtrack is a welcome addition to my daily routine. Favourite episode would probably be Pierrot Le Fou or Mushroom Samba. The Movie is also excellent. I even named my daily driver “BeBop”.

I watched the entire series with /a/ the night that moot rip. It was great. Great voice acting too.

Havent watched any anime since, nor do i plan to. I appreciate it, it just not my scene.

Hmm, gonna interject here, try the first episode of One Punch Man. It's not like other animes, and it can't compare to anything else. But that's my 2 cents.
